Dr. Hollie Granato completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Washington, where her research and clinical work focused on the intersection between substance use, trauma, and emotion dysregulation. During her graduate studies, Dr. Granato trained extensively with Dr. Marsha Linehan in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for both adults and adolescents, and has been invited to speak internationally on DBT as well as published on the treatment of co-occuring Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Additionally, she has served as a consultant and trainer for both DBT as well as Motivational Interviewing interventions for youth and adolescents. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the Puget Sound Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Seattle, Washington, where she focused her work on suicidal behaviors, trauma, and addictive behaviors among high-risk populations. Dr. Granato is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she specializes in the evidenced based treatment of adolescents and adults with BPD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Substance Use Disorders, and PTSD. She currently provides individual and group psychotherapy at CBT/DBT California’s Beverly Hills and Torrance locations.
